Young Amazon
In her most recent work
, Megaera returned to the Amazon theme
with this series of silk paintings, completed in 2002.
The theme is empowered young womanhood. Megaera created
an imaginary young Amazon who is strong,confident, relaxed and happy,
and put her in settings which show her various sources of wellbeing -
connection to nature, loving company, solitude,
creative expression and the exercising of skills.Shet
